WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

I currently accept the following payment methods:

  • PayPal

  • Bank transfer (including international).

I charge in £, but I am also willing to accept $ and € upon request.

WHAT IS YOUR WORK EXPERIENCE?

So far, I've held three in-house jobs since graduating from my Masters in 2017:

  1. Working in the neurology department of a French hospital

  2. Working for a small language service provider (LSP), providing mainly legal and technical translations

  3. Working for a large, international LSP, providing translations for the life sciences sector

I learnt so many things in each of these roles and the experience has been invaluable. Although I'm still at a relatively early stage in my freelance translation career, it is my firm belief that 'experience' on paper doesn't always reflect professional ability. I have been so fortunate to have benefitted from modern, current teachings and schools of thought, and in-depth knowledge of up-to-date technologies and methodology. My passion and fascination for all aspects of languages and culture, as well as having the opportunity to provide a service to others, motivates me on a daily basis.

I am continuously growing, learning and building upon what I know.

WHAT ARE YOUR WAITING TIMES LIKE?

Waiting times vary entirely, however I aim to respond to requests within 1-2 working days. A deadline will be agreed and the scope of work set out. Then I can get to work on your project!

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS DO YOU HAVE?

I have performed consistently highly throughout my academic career and beyond.

My academic qualifications to date are:

  • BA French & German (Cardiff University, 2016) – First Class Honours

  • MA Translation Studies (Cardiff University, 2018) – Distinction

​

My professional qualifications:

I am currently working towards taking the DALF exam and the Goethe Zertifikat as proof of my fluency in both French and German.
